Dealing with Conflict after an Affair


Hi there!

I hope like me you are having a great week. albeit the terrible and destructive UK riots!  🙁

Since starting this blog last week I have received some great feedback , as well as on what I am doing in helping people who have suffered infidelity. So today, and in mind of the riots, I thought I would share with you my thoughts on dealing with conflict in an effective way. For example, depression, tiredness, irritability, often exploding over small things; spending too much time in front of the television, eating junk food or sweets, sexual disinterest, not really connecting with people and often not being able to look them in the eye; not being able to communicate, abusing your body with cigarettes, alchol or drugs, and even eating disorders or a serious illness.

After incidents of infidelity, people tend to run away due to guilt and shame instead of facing it head on. It is definitely hard to recover from an infidelity crisis. You may feel that people will think less of you after such a crisis. Paranoia may build up and will make you think that others are talking about your situation behind your back. You should not be afraid of others talking about you and your partner, this is human nature and any of your family and friends will only want the best for you. You must use the situation as a positive lesson and look to see what you can learn from it to avoid future reoccurrences.
